You may be aware of a new large-scale vulnerability named ‘Poodle’. This is a serious vulnerability that affects SSL v3 and as such we are implementing a fix to protect your services.

We will apply this fix across our infrastructure in the next 48 hours.

The fix necessitates changes to the way SSL is enforced, and can affect your connections to cPanel or SSL through a vulnerable browser. You can check whether your browser is vulnerable by visiting https://www.poodletest.com/

Currently, Google Chrome is not affected, and is our recommended browser choice for accessing cPanel.

If you are vulnerable, please visit https://zmap.io/sslv3/browsers.html for instructions on how to secure and fix your browser against this vulnerability.

Firefox users in particular, please note that a fix is forthcoming in the next update of the browser. For now, we stronly recommend you visit https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2014/10/14/the-poodle-attack-and-the-end-of-ssl-3-0/
